Animal abuse is a very important topic.  It affects the everyday life of the animals.  There are many organizations that help prevent animal abuse like ASPCA.  ASPCA hold many animal charities nationwide.  Animal abuse can start to be solved by an individual. You don't have to be part of a group or organization.  You could donate money or supplies to animal organizations and shelters.  There are some shelters that are kill shelters which means that if the animal isn't adopted after 4-5 days, it will be put to sleep.  There have been times when the animal was put under so much abuse that it will have to be put asleep immediately.  Each state has animal abuse laws but the punishments for the animal abuser are different like fines and jail sentences.  If you find out about an animal that has been abused, you could call your local animal shelter for help.

Animal Cruelty

Animal abuse causes animals who aren’t given shelter, water, food, socialization, medical care or even maiming. These animals are tortured, mutilated or killed. The animals are abandoned with no one to take care of them. Animal cruelty is ranges of behaviors harmful to animals, from neglect to killing. Many have mixed opinions on what animal abuse really is. It is against the law to be cruel or to harm any animal. Animal cruelty can be either deliberate abuse or simply the failure to take care of an animal.

Animal abuse has been around for a very long time, but it never just started in one place. It spread across the world. It even goes back to Medieval Times. The consequences for the person who commited the animal abuse, would have to go to jail. The jail time depends on how bad the abuse was and how long they have been commiting it. The animal’s cruelty depends on the abuse but they would most likely be hurt, starved, dehydrated, or dead. Once the animal has been taken from the home of the animal abuser, it goes to a shelter or organization if it doesn't need medical attention.

In order to stop animal abuse, you should know who to call to report animal cruelty. You should get to know and look out for animals in your neighborhood and teach children to treat animals with respect and kindness. You can also support, volunteer and donate to your local shelter, refuge, or local animal rescue organization. There have been laws passed for animal rights to and you can vote.

Millions of animals are dying each year from animal abuse. Why do people do it? Do they feel the need to be controlling of the animal? People are hitting, beating, kicking, burning, and starving these innocent animals. Dogs are being forced to into dog fights, leaving with broken bones, broken jaws, cuts and bites. If the dog fails in the dog fight, the owner kills it in horrible ways. Animal cruelty needs to stop. We need to be more aware of animal abuse and how it is increasing. We are the only ones able to stop this problem. Animal abuse needs to stop.
